HOT BLOODED

What a night in Blueland! Over 17,000 tickets sold and Thrash was finally released. Tonight Ron Hainsey got his first goal of the season. Eric Boulton dominated the ice, scoring not one, not two, but three goals! At two goals, he had his first ever multi-goal game, to elaborate on that, with no assists, he went ahead and made it his first ever hat trick and hats were flying onto the ice!
Evander Kane scored his 11th goal of the season to tie Dustin Byfuglien and, in the second Andrew Ladd did the same. Chris Thorburn was the other Thrash to score a goal this evening and the only NJ goal was scored by the “freelancer”, Ilya Kovalchuk.
Up in the northeast, the Boston Bruin decided to help us out just a tad and hung onto a 3-2 lead on the Washington Capitals, placing the Thrashers alone in first place in the Southeast Division!
Here are a few things you might currently be pondering:
When is the next home game? Well, it is this upcoming Tuesday. Kids are out of school and it is just a few days before Christmas, you can have a late night weeknight. The Thrashers will be hosting the St. Louis Blues. This game will be $1 Concessions again as well.

Oh, what a night in Blueland. This was one of my most anticipated games of the year to attend, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The attendance was outstanding. I’m not sure if we’ve seen anything like that since the 07′ playoffs. Once again, you heard nothing but “boo’s” every time “Kovy” touched the puck. It was a heart-breaker to see him score a goal, but at least we got to show him what he was missing with the way we controlled the game. When it was 3-0 in the first period, everyone knew it was just a matter of time before we would get to welcome an old friend back to the ice. Moose got the nod in the 2nd period and was approached with nothing but applause and roar of “MOOOOOOOOOOOSE”. The Thrashers had this game from the start. The “Greek Gods” line was incredible. Boulton, the man of the night, scoring his first career hat trick. Pavelec, another great night in net(who also deserves an All-Star nod in my opinion). All in all, it was a great night to be a Thrashers fan. Right after the game, it was announced that the Caps had lost and the Thrashers were atop the Southeast division which made the crowd nuts. The whole way out the door, all you heard was “LETS GO THRASHERS!” The Thrashers will be back in town on Tuesday to take on my hometown St. Louis Blues. I’ll be taking my family to this one. Too bad I’m the only converted Thrashers fan!

Oh yea……WE GOT OUR MASCOT BACK!
