Hoping for the Nightmare to End in Florida…

The Thrashers are on the road once again for their fourth meeting this season against the Florida Panthers. This is the fourth of six meetings this season between the two. Atlanta has already taken two out of three and look to rebound after a tough stretch of 4 losses. During this stretch, the Thrashers have been outscored 24 to 9. We’re all still waiting for the team to see the sunshine and realize you actually have to play to make the playoffs. Currently, they sit and cling onto the 8th and final playoff spot in the Easter conference.

Injuries seem to be a big part of the Thrashers‘ misfortune lately. Still injured are Modin & Slater. Added to the IR over the weekend was goaltender Chris MasonAtlanta has called up Peter Mannino from Chicago to fill in for the time being. Kane has been back in the lineup the past couple games after his injury and Ben Eager is still out, due to suspension, until Thursday.

We’re all still crossing our fingers and hoping for a rebound. Hopefully tonight is the night to come away with a win, and more importantly, a division win. The Thrashers are 6 points behind both Washington and Tampa Bay in the Southeast division. The game starts at 7:30 PM EST. For more on the game on the Panthers side, click here.
