Captain Chara

Just a few nights ago, Zdeno Chara was one of the key ingredients in the latest miracle handed down to the Atlanta Thrashers. While we were biting our nails waiting for the Carolina Hurricanes to take over our 3rd place position in the division, Zdeno Chara was busy scoring his first career hat trick against the Canes. After 892carrer games, Chara notched his first hat trick, making this his 7th season with double digit goals.

Chara is the very dominating 6’9″ Captain of the Boston Bruins. He won the Norris Trophy in 2008-2009 and has been selected for the 2003, 2007, 2008 and 2009 All Star Games. He has won back-to-back Hardest Shot Competitions and initiated a charity drive ($1,000 per player) to the winner’s charity of choice and set a new record with the fastest slap shot.
