Oh Sir Stamkos…there is no one I dread to play more than you. A perfect example of All Star quality, if he has not played the game Thursday night, WE WOULD NOT HAVE LOST. Period. End of story…

First round draft pick for the Unstoppable Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2008 NHL Entry draft, Stamkos has been making this team win (and the rest of us suffer ever since). By February of 2009, Stamkos recorded his first NHL hat trick. By the end of the 2009-2010 season, Stamkos was tied with Sidney Crosby with 51 goals for the season and shared the Rocket Richard Trophy, awarded to the player with the most goals in the season. Stamkos is the third youngest player to ever have achieved this award, behind Gretzky and Jimmy Carson (who scored 50 at a younger age).

Stamkos is currently in 1st place in the league in goals and points. He currently has 37 goals and 66 points (and plays Atlanta again tomorrow).
