Sweet Victory

Ondrej

First star of the game, Ondrej Pavelec gets his second shut out against the Washington Capitals. In a time when darkness has been trying to overcome Blueland, Nik Antropov scored early in the second period with which would be the only goal of the game. Ondrej Pavelec had a lot of defensive support throughout the entire game, helping him secure the shut out win.

Tonight the Atlanta Thrashers came out and played the game. While the Caps had 36 shots on goal and the Thrashers only 24, we made it work. We actually led in hits, which is just amazing against Ovechkin.
Andrew Ladd, with a lower body injury, led forwards with minutes on ice tonight, proving, once again, that Ramsay knows best when he makes his decisions.

We now head into the All Star break, a nice long break where we get to watch our own Dustin Byfuglien perform. When we return, we are on the final stretch. We will not meet The Washington Capitals or the Tampa Bay Lightning in regular season again.
