Bracketology: The Conference Finals

Well, it sure is a good thing I don’t gamble or I’d be broke right about now. I didn’t do terribly bad, but I’m no pro at this. The semi conference finals showed us a lot. It really separated the strong from the week. To me, it was very disappointing to see the Predators bow down to the Canucks, but let’s face it, they were the recipients of the Presidents trophy.

Although they do carry the best record in the NHL, I cannot say they are the best team remaining in the playoffs.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m rooting for them all the way now, but I just don’t see it happening. As much as a hate to say it and as much as it disgusts me, the Bolts have the strength to take down just about anyone right now.  They absolutely dominated the Thrashers, not only this year, but last year as well. With guys like Stamkos, Lecavalier, St. Louis, and old-timer Roloson, it’s hard to think anyone can take them down with the way they’ve been playing. I’ve gone against them twice already this post season and can’t do it again. Yes, the Bruins are strong and they may very well stand a chance, but like I’ve said, I can’t go against Tampa a 2nd time.  Let me make this clear…I am in no way, shape, or form cheering for either team in the east.  I just wanted to make that clear. Go Nucks!
