Game 3: Phoenix

Tonight the Jets trek to Phoenix to play in the Coyotes home opener, in what must have been some sort of cruel joke by the people at the NHL scheduling department. That or a way to ensure the focus is on Phoenix for one night. But all kidding aside, tonight is simply a hockey game. No more, no less. It’s not some “we need revenge for Phoenix stealing our team” or some other grudge match. It is simply a hockey game.

And a hockey game between two horrible teams. But one in which the Jets can reasonably expect to get their first win. Phoenix was bombarded with shots in their previous games, and I think the Jets look decently close to putting up some goals, especially their top line. Also, we need a cool nickname for the Burmistrov/Antropov/Kane line.
