1:45 to go in the 1st period when Winnipeg forced wild goalie Backstrom to make three beautiful consecutive saves.

Minnesota seemed to gain some momentum at the end of the first period after they killed off their second PK of the night.  Early in the second period at the 4:39 mark, Guillaume Latendresse of the Wild was able to wrist one by Pavelec on a power play.  Winnipegs Zach Bogosian answered four minutes later with a shot from the blue line.

The third period brought on an onslaught of physical play.  With the crowd, physical play, and chirpiness from both sides, the game took on a playoff game feeling.  Winnipeg went on a power play with around 6 minutes to go.  At the 15:00 minute mark of the 3rd period, Byfuglien found Bryan Little creeping at the side of the net to make it 2-1 Jets.  Winnipeg would hold on to win it 2-1.  As always, follow me on Twitter at Southerndraw81.  Winnipeg takes on struggling Washington tomorrow at 8:30 est.  Fly High!!!
