Cleared For Takeoff

Hello Winnipeg Jets fans, and welcome to Hockey at the Forks. Prior to this week, this website was unoccupied for quite some time. However, recently myself and my colleague Keith Schultz decided to restore this site to its former glory. We are extremely excited at the opportunity to grow Hockey at the Forks’ following, and eventually have a great staff alongside us. If you are interested in writing for this website, please click here.

Here’s a little information about me:

I was born in Brandon, (two hours down the road from Winnipeg) and in my 16 years since then I have never moved. I have played hockey for over 10 of those years, and have only grown to love the game more and more over that time. Born an Oilers fan, I quickly grew to like the Chicago Blackhawks when they drafted one of my heroes, Jonathan Toews. Those first few years were tough, but it has been a blast to cheer for them since then, to say the least. I started my writing career about a year ago, writing for the website, which i still do today. Now that the Jets are back in town, I have shared my love between those two teams, and I am extremely excited to see those two clash tomorrow night at the MTS Centre. My goal is to not only give Winnipeg Jets fans a go-to source for all the news and information on their team, but most importantly, connect with as many of you as I can, and form even more great relationships along the way.

Tomorrow, Hockey at the Forks will be reborn. Just like the Jets are currently doing, we won’t stop building until we become one of the best of our kind around, and maintain that reputation.

Thank you for reading.
