The NHL season is on hold until the completion of Men’s Hockey at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, and when the Winnipeg Jets hit the ice on February 27th against the Phoenix Coyotes, they will need all hands on deck. The Jets are missing a top contributor, but could have three of their currently injured players back for the sprint to the playoffs.

Injury: Broken Arm

Status: Injured Reserve

Halischuk hasn’t played since December 14th, when he took a slap-shot in the arm against the Dallas Stars. Halischuk had surgery the following day to repair a fractured arm, and was placed on Injured Reserve on the same day. Halischuk’s recovery was pegged at 6-8 weeks, and he has been progressing according to plan. With strength training off the ice to regain his muscular tissue, and skating to keep his mind sharp, he could be on the ice when the Jets go back to practice on February 19th.

Possible Return Date: February 27th
