Injury: Hand Infection (Right)

Status: Injured Reserve

Kane has been out since February 3rd, when the team announced that the 22-year old would not play before the Olympics. Kane, who was not selected to represent Team USA, has an infection in his right hand stemming from an injury he received earlier in the New Year in a fight that caused him to miss five games. Kane is on antibiotics and with time, the swelling will decrease. He is expected to be back in time for the return to NHL action.

Possible Return Date: February 27th
