Winnipeg Jets vs. Colorado Avalanche: Viewing Information And Predictions

The Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche are set to meet on Wednesday night at the MTS Centre, finishing their season series.

The Jets will go with Al Montoya in goal for the third straight game, while the Avalanche will counter with Semyon Varlamov, who made 33 saves in the Avs’ win over Winnipeg on Monday, March 10th.

Winnipeg is coming off a day of rest following a road loss to the league-leading St. Louis Blues, while Colorado lost to the Montreal Canadiens 6-3 the night before.

The Jets are clinging on to hope of a playoff spot, and are six points back of Phoenix for the final Wild Card position in the West. The Avalanche currently hold the tiebreaker over the Chicago Blackhawks for second in the Central Division. Analysts are saying the Jets need to win 11 of their final 12 games to make the playoffs.

Here is tonight’s TV listing:

TV: TSN Jets, Altitude 2 (non-regional)

TIME: 7:00 PM Central

My Prediction: Thanks to some hometown noise and the feel of a “must-win”, the Jets sneak one out over a hot Avalanche team in the shootout, 3-2. Montoya: 29 saves.
