The Winnipeg Jets have recalled Patrice Cormier and Karl Klingberg, both 23 years old, from the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Cormier was just sent down a couple of days ago but has returned. He has played in 3 games this season in limited action and is an original draft pick of the New Jersey Devils in the second round of the 2008 entry draft.
Klingberg has played in 57 games with the St. John’s IceCaps recording 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points. This is his first call up this year and was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round, 34th over all, in the 2009 entry draft.
The move comes just hours before the Jets take on the Dallas Stars on Monday. There is no word on if either will be in the lineup for the game.
